Christmas Tree

This is one of my favorite things to do at Christmas, I love decorating the tree and I love doing it with my kids!

These are the new ornaments we made this year.

And the kids made a new paper chain.

And we added some green bows.

Elena's favorite place to hang out.

We tried to color-coordinate the wrapping paper this year. :) Lot's of limey green and red, I love it!

I think I'm done tinkering with the tree, I spent a week adding ornaments and moving them around, I think I'll leave it alone now. :)

Although... Christmas is still a week away. ;)

Elena has become the "paper-chain" queen, she's been busy with the stapler and a roll of wrapping paper. She really loves to decorate and get crafty!

Merry Christmas!

Party Shed

In our backyard, attached to our garage we have a "carport" turned bonus space, it's a 3 season - screened in area. We've used it for many different things; storage, a work-out spot, crafts and several parties. I decided it was time to clean it up, re-organize, and revive the space. And a new name was in order - we decided to call it our "Party Shed!"

The kids painted boxes that are very helpful in hauling things back and forth from the party shed to the house.

The final painted product. Red, white and blue... ahh... my favorite colors of all time!
My crazy bucket chandelier. I went through a lot of spray paint on this project.

Decorating with all of my old "junk" that I love! Old oars, enamelware, skiis, oooh they make me smile... a lot!

I've been collecting these skiis for awhile now. The tall white ones were my dad's he skiied on them as a child and the rest have been yard sale, thrift store and ebay finds.

There it is, all ready for a party! And my old metal chairs are ready too!

Football Birthday Party

Erik's parents came out to visit us and helped us throw a whopper of a party for Deacon!

Party planning confession: I already had a ton of football party items from a 30th bday party that we did for my hubby a few years ago. I was so happy to be able to re-use it and it helped make party planning a little easier and cheaper. ;)

Erik's mom came up with all sorts of fun, yard games for everyone to play!

Another souvenir from hubby's 30th birthday party. His personalized Vikings jersey.

Happy 7th birthday, Deacon!
